Every single person on earth needs to drink fluids in order to survive. It might be the most important factor in the survival of human beings. With the new age of commercial and artificial substances, companies such as Coca Cola and Pepsi have occupied the minds of people. It is important to understand which drinks are suitable to drink when about about your health.

1. Water

The healthiest drink in the world is water without question. This is since water is the reason that life exists. It is necessary for survival and is needed in great quantities. Approximately 75-80% of our body consists of water, while 66% of Earth is covered by water on its surface. Water is needed for our cells to function properly, which then enable thinking, movement, blood circulation, digestion and nerve function. Water helps hold back appetite, which reduces the risk of obesity. Additionally, water helps the body burn fat. Water is also the number one action for thirst. Water tones the muscles and assists them with astringent. Water even helps get rid of waste products in the body, urine is an example. When you drink water, the endocrine glands function better than if you were dehydrated. Water has 0 calories which is why it is perfect to drink if you are on a diet.

2. Green Tea

When it comes to tea at least, green tea is the champion. While it is made of the same leaf as oolong and black tea, Camellia sinensis, it is not created in the same way. Black tea has high levels of caffeine compare to other teas and even green tea which is made of the same plant. Black tea also tends to stain teeth more than other teas.

You might be asking why grape juice is on this list and red wine is not. But the answer is as simple as it can get, grape juice has the same health benefits as red wine apart from the alcohol. This makes grape juice a lot better than red wine in our opinion. There are two main types of grape juice; white grapes and red/purple grapes. White grapes have the health benefit of being rich in iron which is excellent if you suffer from iron lack. If you are anemic, then it would be wiser to drink white grape juice instead of red grape juice because they contain a chemical which lowers the amount of iron in the body. Another great factor of grape juice is that it contains a large amount of antioxidants and a wide variety as well. They are used to reduce the amount of damage done to cells over time and so they lessen the effects of ageing.

Grape juice also contains another great substance called flavonoids which increase the level of HDL cholesterol (this is good) and prevent the clogging of arteries. There are also other positive effects such as decreased chance of depression and it decrease your chance of developing Parkinson’s disease. The caffeine in coffee is however addictive, so be careful with over-consumption.
