Most dog lovers treat their dogs like their babies. Many of us also gladly fork over the big bucks for purebreds, even if we don’t plan on buying them fancy collars and sending them to the doggy spa. We spend as much money on their pooch as they would on a kid! Diamond collars, plush beds, fancy toys and doggy day care, you name it and we dog lovers will probably spend money on it if it will make our pup happy. Here’s is my list of the ten most expensive dog breeds in the world:

1. German Sheppard

German shepherd Dogs are pretty common in the US and you can usually find a pup or two for sale in the local paper for a couple hundred bucks. A dog training institute in Germany markets their rescue dogs as the best in the world, and sells their German Sheppard for a massive. The German Sheppard has proven time and time again that they are a dependable, intelligent and agile dog putting them on the top of the list. They can be trained well beyond the capacity of many other breeds, making them great rescue dogs, police dogs and guide dogs just to name a few.

2. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

The Cavalier Spaniel was bred specifically as friend dogs since the days of King Charles II. They can be seen in obedience competition, the show ring, and as therapy dogs. They are a charming little breed, intelligent, happy and outgoing. They make playful and loving family pets.

Samoyeds are gentle, fluffy dogs that originally came from Siberia. They were bred for herding, sledding and guarding.
